Visual Diary: Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2014
'His love for California ' was what inspired Tommy Hilfiger to create the Spring 2014 collection ... Last year I told you all about his current collection and even shared with you an exclusive interview with TH himself, remember? For Fall 2014, Tommy takes us to a completely opposite scenario, but continues with the story that began in spring, the stage was transformed into a postcard from the rocky and snowy mountains of North America. Relaxed and cleaver winter weather looks, catwalked during the show, it was an organic combination between workwear and outdoor gears, with hints of the Western; inspired by American explorers, the looks were perfect for freezing temperatures without losing the preppy essence of the brand, to be honest with the low temperatures we were facing during NYFW I -literally- wanted to run and wear any of the outfits we were seeing on the runway. On this post I’m sharing with you a couple of pictures from backstage, as well as some of my favorite looks; Near the end of the show, the clothes ‘took’ a bohemian feel, with long dresses and intense textures.
A few weeks later, while I was in Paris, I had a chance to go to the showroom of the brand in this city re see the collection. I must confess that my favorite separates were the denim pieces, also the coats, the cowboy boots and sunglasses. As for the styling of the looks, I think we should take note on using scarves under shirts and coats (as shown on one of the pictures), it looks really cool!

‘El amor por California’ fue lo que inspiró a Tommy Hilfiger para crear la colección Primavera 2014... En su momento les conté todo respecto a esta colección e inclusive les compartí una entrevista exclusiva con el mismísimo TH ¿recuerdan? Para Otoño 2014, Tommy nos transporta a un escenario totalmente opuesto, pero dando continuidad a la historia que comenzó en primavera, y entonces el escenario se transformó en lo que pareciera una postal de las rocosas y nevadas montañas del Norte de America. Looks relajados, y propios del clima invernal fue la apuesta del diseñador para la temporada; inspirado en los exploradores Americanos, los looks fueron propios de actividades al aire libre a temperaturas bajo cero, sin perder la esencia preppy que caracteriza a la marca, y mucho menos restándole la dosis necesaria de moda y propuesta, y es que para serles sincera con las temperaturas bajo cero que manejábamos el día del desfile en Nueva York, yo quería correr -literal- a ponerme cualquiera de los outfits que estábamos viendo en pasarela. Les comparto algunas fotos -exclusivas- del backstage, así como algunos de mis looks favoritos, dentro de la colección -casi al final de la pasarela- las prendas se tornaron un tanto más bohemias, con vestidos largos e intensas texturas...
Unas semanas después, mientras estaba en Paris, tuve oportunidad de ir al showroom de la marca en dicha ciudad y apreciar de cerca las piezas. Debo confesarles que mis favoritas fueron las prendas de mezclilla y las capas, las botas vaqueras y los lentes. En cuanto al estilismo de los looks, creo que debemos anotar en la libreta el usar mascadas y paliacates debajo de las camisas y abrigos ¡se ve lo más cool!
