I believe that clothes -and of course shoes and accessories- are an investment. If you know how to shop and how to add “basic” items to your closet, you can save a lot of money and own quality pieces that will last for more than a decade. For example, I’ve own this jumpsuit for almost five years now. I remember very well the date because I bought it on my honey moon (yes! I’m happily married… I think I’ve never stated that on the blog). I found it on an independent store in an outlet near Miami. A jumpsuit might not be considered as a basic, but for me it has been my spring/summer essential for the past years; with the right accessories I can make it look trendy and cool just as if it was brand new.
