While I was in Paris for Fashion Week , I had the chance to stop by Longchamp’s Showroom to take a close look to the Spring/Summer14 Collection. One of the highlights of my visit was Jeremy Scott ’s - Le Pliage - ‘Color Bar’ special edition tote; it’s almost a ‘tradition’ that this designer works on this iconic bag to give it a twist with his personal style and vision. The bag is inspired in the TV color bars used in test patterns, that appear when no program material is available, spotted long ago (before Christ, LOL) remember? If you are in Paris I have great news: this bag is available -as an exclusive- at Colette starting today (December 1, OMG in 30 days this year is over, somebody do something), and it will not be available till January 2014 at selected Longchamp flagship stores, there’s not such thing as total happiness, right? ‘His love for Carlifornia’ That’s how everything started around the Tommy Hilfiger’s SS14 collection. I was lucky enough to be backstage after the show last september during NYFW, and of course, I was able to interview this famous designer on a ‘one on one’ chat were we talked about all the meeting points of his collection. ‘Westcoasting’ it’s the verb that defines the collection and that blends a lot of Tommy’s favorites: Malibu, the beach, surfing and sports; The collection suitably mixes traditional materials such as cotton with the newest technologies such as 'laser cut’ pieces that resemble wetsuits and beach items that can also be worn at the city: an endless summer! La última vez que estuve en Milán fue hace diez años y no precisamente fue para Fashion Week.
