A dream come true is the FW13 collection of DELPOZO, with this line I start the following post. The collection was presented for the first time at New York Fashion Week, with excellent reviews from the local and international press. At the end of the show we all had a huge smile on our faces. The venue (Canoe Studios) was magical, with the whole space invaded with natural light. Josep Font it’s the creative director from the brand and so far he has presented two collections with great success. The brand was founded by the spanish designer Jesus del Pozo in 1974. The collection from my point of view it’s beautiful, filled with contrasts and with breath taking esthetics “a contrast between architecture and the delicate femininity of the Victorian age” curved lines and exaggerated silhouettes... fantastic embroidery in golden tones, long chiffon gowns with vibrant colors, neons with neutrals. Cushnie Et Ochs Fall13 takes a dark look at America’s first settlers... the inspiration for the collection explores the spiritual sensuality of this time. As I told you on previous post I was able to sneak in the backstage and make a short interview to the talented (and handsome) Antonio Corral, the MoroccanOil Artistic Director who created the sensual, sophisticated and luxurious looks for the Cushnie Et Ochs Fall Collection. The ‘hair looks’ are volumized to the root for shape, with hair kept close to the head and sleek and straight on the sides and in the back. The looks are feminine yet strong, with a mysterious sense of that colonial period. Antonio talked to me about the looks for the runway and also he gave me a couple of tips to have a healthy hair; he believes that it’s mandatory to use the right products to achieve different looks and protect our hair (such as heat styling protectors), also to have a regular hair cut (every month). Rainy day at New York, but we are almost halfway through Fashion Week. I have to tell you that I’m kinda tired... I believe it’s the weather that makes things even harder (like to run from Lincoln Center to Meatpacking back and forward all day long). Despite it, I’m really happy to be here. Actually I'm back at the hotel because I was at Lincoln for the Carolina Herrera show, it was really beautiful, as always it's an amazing show. Here I am... trying to look my best surrounded by piles and piles of snow. Yesterday we were literally freezing, but today the sun is shinning... that really makes me happy, although the snow will melt and I will definitely fall (probably at Lincoln center) because it’s something that happens to me... I fall all the time, specially when the street it’s practically soap and I’m wearing heels. I’m super proud about Alfredo Martinez White Cape, it was a hit yesterday... everyone asked me about it and who made it... Let’s support our beloved and talented mexican designers ;) As you probably noticed already, I’m wearing my Givenchy boots again (noooooo!) -two days in a row- that is not something I usually do but the weather was insane and these were heaven to my feet.
