For the third week of the Flower Tag Rally I created this outfit. I think it reflects dynamism and a mixture of urbanism and nature. I feel comfortable, happy and chic with this outfit... I'm in my own skin; you can tell by the pictures right? The spiked shoes and the flower on the blazer are authentic and represent aspects of my personality. I’m on vacation, that’s why you haven’t seen a lot of posts these days. You can visit my tumblr to review my selection of outfits, designers and accessories from the New York Fashion Week. I promise I’ll be posting a complete SS 2012 trend report soon. Have a great week and don’t forget to visit Kenzo’s site , you’ll find very cool stuff in it!
Flower Tag by Kenzo Part II: The Urban Flower
"Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished" Lao Tzu This post is the second challenge for the Flower Tag Kenzo Rally . I buil t a little garden with red flowers in front of a huge building . This garden represent s how nature has yet to be present as the essence of big, crowded, urban landscapes like Mexico City. I love to live in the city but I think that flowers and nature give an extra touch which complements our busy and fast- moving lifestyles. I'm not that good at taking artistic pictures. I hope I can transmit my feelings to you . Thanks a lot for reading. If you wish to see my fellow Mexican blogger friends’ posts for this rally (plus really good and interesting stuff) please visit: www.kenzomexico.com . Have a great week! Flower Tag by Kenzo Part 1: The Smell of New Shoes
I think life is a box filled with surprises, and this story reminds what a lucky girl I am. Last year I went backpacking through Europe with one of my cousins. Our first stop was Madrid, then we went directly to Morocco, Italy and finally we visited France. The days we spent in Madrid were lovely; we ate lots of exquisite food, had sunny days and visited really cool places. As the shoe-addict-with-no-intention-to-start-rehab that I am, I begged my cousin to go to the recently opened Christian Louboutin store, the first one that opened in Spain, with me (Louboutin is my favorite shoe designer). We spent four days in Madrid and all the touristy activities had gotten in the way of our search for the store (stubbornly I carried the printed address in my wallet just in case we were nearby at some point). Sadly our last day in Madrid, September 17th –almost exactly a year ago- arrived, and so my cousin (that isn’t a shoe fan nor a fashion junkie as I am) wanted to visit some mor...
Last W ednesday I was invited by Kenzo to a lovely brunch for the launch of their new frag r ance: Flower Tag . Kenzo did an excellent job and they treated us like royalty . T he food was amazing ; it included sweet treats, chocolate cookies and - my favorite - macarons . T he place was really cute (all flowered by poppy), and meeting fellow M exican bloggers was the cherry on top. I got the chance to talk to Guapologa , Boticapop , Aldo , Bere from tarde o temprano , Aldonza , Adrian from looks4love , Gaby from Modacapita l and Ceci and Jeny from coolhunter.mx. We watched the video for the new campaign (the first one without an Asiatic model), tested the perfume (which by the way smells incredible) and enjoyed some time together. The best news is that Kenzo is launching a contest for M exican bloggers ; the winner will win a trip to Pari...
