One my favorite shows of the week was the Gianfranco Reni's runway. The collection is called Senshi Onna and it’s inspired on the Japanese Samurais.  I loved the patterns, fabrics and colors he used: it’s a powerful and structured collection with strong pieces and a great story to tell. The details were amazing: lots of golden coins applied in masks and belts, detailed embroidery and amazing harido’s and makeup. The collection is very editorial and dramatic but I applaud the fact that he took it "out of the box" and made a statement. I’m very pleased to see talented mexican designers as him succeed.
