Carlos Miele Fall 2012

The Carlos Miele collection is versatile and joyful; I really enjoyed the high presence of color, mainly yellow, red, pink and gold.
I liked how this Brazilian designer used his country's heritage as inspiration for the fall collection, the gaúchas - peasants of the pampas of Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil- were his muses.
The incorporation of unique accessories into the outfits was important as the designer gave a chic and modern touch to a traditional and comfortable way of dressing; the belts, hats and vivid prints were very unexpected but added an important personal touch. I think it was a good idea to mix the studded belts with the braided traditional ones... (it’s a styling idea that I may be applying in my future outfits). The fur poncho was among my favorite pieces of the whole collection. Take a look at the peep toe boots, they are so wearable and can be used at night with a nice dress or with a pair of skinny jeans.
The make up again was natural and glowy with peach and brown tones. Accentuation in the cheeks and earthy colors in the eyes were the key points. Oh! I’m craving to get the natural looking waves I saw at this runway.
