Gina

Blame it on a picture at my parents' house! it featured my dad, my mom and my grandmother standing in front of Christ The Redeemer. Since I was a little girl, I was amazed by that beautiful image, I constantly begged my dad to take me to THAT special place, where that particular photo was taken, just a few years before I was born.

Then, over time I learned that the photo was taken in Brazil, and I became obsessed with the idea of visiting this country, I think that's why I came to the World Cup -even tho I do not like soccer-. I always wanted to do it with my parents, we even made plans several times to come here, but due to various reasons we were not able to make it happen. My dad passed away almost five years ago, and although I couldn’t make this trip with him, I’m really happy I had the chance to finally make it happen: to stand there, in front of the Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, with a stunning -panoramic- view, admiring everything from above with my boyfriend by my side, as the sun was setting the sky turned pink, purple and orange (and -of course- there were like a million tourists taking selfies)

With love,

Gina
