Cotton Candy
The weather has been just crazy during the 'early' summer season: rainy days, windy days and sunny days... what a mess! I’ve been struggling (a lot) to pull off my daily outfits... what about you? Con cariño, Gina The Outfit: Trousers: Rag And Bone . Blouse: J. Crew . Bag: Céline . Sunglasses: Tom Ford . Heels: Brian Atwood .
A Hundred Years From Today
I believe each season we must be very cleaver regarding what are the items we buy, no one is rich enough to buy everything... I mean, you can't afford to buy everything that's on your wish list. It’s better to be a wise shopper and select iconic items of -that- particular season (that for me, go from 5 to 10) and mix them with the ‘basics’ of your closet. Thank God (and globalization, of course) we have a lot of brands on the market that offer 'similar' pieces that go hand by hand with the international trends... they follow the same line with a different price range and quality (of course! that's the point).... the good news is that you can buy iconic items of the season no matter what your budget is. One of my personal basics for this season, is this orange bag: I mean, its huge (even my laptop, ipad, camera, wallet and all the other -non sense- stuff I tend to carry with me all the time fit in here...), plus it's very easy to combine... plus I can use it wi...
Pink Lips
I have to admit that I have a huge problem with the size of my mouth (it’s kinda big), therefore I didn’t like to wear lipstick and don't even think about bright colors, they were inmediatly discarded from my makeup selection. Things have changed and now I love to wear -neon- pink lipsticks; I have to give all the credit to my fellow beauty blogger friend Paty from Guapologia for encouraging me to paint my lips and feel good about them. It’s funny how sometimes someone else has to inspire you to give that "difficult" step and believe in yourself, thank you Guaps! I wore this outfit to work last week, and although the weather in Mexico City has been really crazy (windy and rainy) I love to use bright colors… I mean, its summer! Let’s have fun with vibrant and cheerful outfits; the weather ain’t stopping me!
Don't Leave Me
I really enjoy mixing dif f erent colors, -and patterns- and this outfit is no exception. The blouse is one of a kind due to it's colorful pattern and the trousers (you've seen them before in the Pistachio post) and shoes compliment it perfectly. The outfit is fun but yet formal. The maxi clutch is amazing, I had actually been looking for one for a long time and this one definitely caught my eye. . . isn't it gorgeous? I have to admit that I have a lot of problems with small bags, which is why I'm not a clutch person ; I usually carry a lot of stuff, so the size of this one was perfect and the leather quality amazing. What are your plans for this week? Mine will keep me b usy but in a good way. Thanks a lot for visiting the blog!
Few Days of Summer
Well the past two weeks have been a little bit crazy, too much work... I know I say the same thing every week... Today I sort of have big news: This F riday I'm styling my first magazine cover -Yeeei!-... I'm very excited and obviously nervous. The cover is for a Mexican magazine and involves a M exican actress, so I guess the pressure is twice as much .... a lot of eyes will be on the result. I'm working hard to fulf ill the expectations. In Mexico City, the weather has been "better". We've had su nnier days and fewer storms, although rainy afternoons are the constant. Nevertheless I'm using my summer outfits and covering up with trenchs in the afternoons, it's not that cold. Talking about this particular outfit, I'm pretty much in love with it: the Miu Miu shoes are amazing -one of my favorite pair this season- The jumpsuit is a "must", the purse just add...
