La librería busca rescatar la esencia de las pequeñas bibliotecas neoyorquinas. Su repertorio está constituido por más de dos mil títulos centrados en la literatura y fotografía de vanguardia. También, la librería Gucci Wooster sirve como un espacio, para exposiciones, conferencias, firmas de libros y demás eventos culturales curados por el fundador de Dashwood Books, David Strettell. E ntre los libros, además hay títulos raros, agotados y usados –que muchas veces fueron parte de la inspiración de Gucci en sus colecciones de temporada–, al igual que creaciones de amigos de la firma italiana: Petra Collins, Ari Marco...
Fashion Week is almost over, and with it my happy days in New York (I'm soooo depressed). In between shows I have somehow managed to visit my favorite neighborhoods of the city... I bought this pair of unusual Alexander Wang metallic pumps just last September in New York City, at the first -and only- flagship store the designer has in SoHo. They were actually the only pair remaining and -fortunately for me- they were my size (lucky me!). I sadly have to admit that, although they have a ¨loafer look”, they are not that comfortable, but oh well, who needs comfy shoes, right? On the other hand, I do enjoy their sheer shine, their high heel and the unexpected tassels that give them an added meaning. I know sometimes it can be kind of tricky combining metallics, but I think this pair might work as a basic color allowing it to be wearable in spring and winter with different outfit options and taking aside the season trends.
