Visual Diary: DELPOZO FW 2014
One of the shows that excites me the most during Fashion Week , is DELPOZO , this Spanish brand thrills, inspires and moves me: Josep Font’s creative mind simply amazes me. For FW 2014, Font got inspired by the Italian post-cubist artist Duilio Bernabé and the futuristic novel of 1960’s "Logans Run"... the result is wonderful, captivating and fantastic, a ' lyrical abstraction' as defined himself. The show was held on the last floor of a skyscraper from New York city, with an stunning panoramic view, the light that illuminated the floor was beautiful, a sunny day with snow traces at the rooftops of the other buildings... what else can I say, words might not do justice to the vibe, look and feel of the venue. DELPOZO FW13
A dream come true is the FW13 collection of DELPOZO, with this line I start the following post. The collection was presented for the first time at New York Fashion Week, with excellent reviews from the local and international press. At the end of the show we all had a huge smile on our faces. The venue (Canoe Studios) was magical, with the whole space invaded with natural light. Josep Font it’s the creative director from the brand and so far he has presented two collections with great success. The brand was founded by the spanish designer Jesus del Pozo in 1974. The collection from my point of view it’s beautiful, filled with contrasts and with breath taking esthetics “a contrast between architecture and the delicate femininity of the Victorian age” curved lines and exaggerated silhouettes... fantastic embroidery in golden tones, long chiffon gowns with vibrant colors, neons with neutrals.
