Visual Diary: DELPOZO FW 2014

One of the shows that excites me the most during Fashion Week, is DELPOZO, this Spanish brand thrills, inspires and moves me: Josep Font’s creative mind simply amazes me. For FW 2014, Font got inspired by the Italian post-cubist artist Duilio Bernabé and the futuristic novel of 1960’s  "Logans Run"... the result is wonderful, captivating and fantastic, a ' lyrical abstraction' as defined himself. The show was held on the last floor of a skyscraper from New York city,  with an stunning panoramic view, the light that illuminated the floor was beautiful, a sunny day with snow traces at the rooftops of the other buildings... what else can I say, words might not do justice to the vibe, look and feel of the venue. A year ago I was present at the brand’s first show in New York Fashion week,  and since then I fell in love with Font’s interpretations, I almost cried with that collection, I think I told you back then how much that particular show moved me; since then, the brand has become a favorite of editors, celebrities and artists and with good reason, because the truth is that it’s a pleasure and a treat for the eye to see Font’s designs on the catwalk and in daily life. Geometric silhouettes in a beautiful color palette with neutrals and electric pinks, greens and occasional brights such as yellow in different materials such as chiffon and leather, fine appliquéd holographic discs, and a couple of pieces in plaid; geometric appeal, with controlled volumes on the hips and peaked shoulders in capes and coats. Mi favorites were the shoes and capes, although it’s difficult to conclude because all the collection is major. The hairstyle was designed by Antonio Corral, Moroccanoil Artistic Director, and the makeup was done by the MAC Cosmetics team. The makeup match perfectly with the clothes, it talked about natural beauty, with bare skin, subtle dolly cheeks and a nude lip with a touch of glow on the eyes. The hair was an elegant and futuristic rolled updo; strong and dramatic inspired on rounded and asymmetrical shapes. Everything was perfect, everything.

With love,

Gina

Gina
