Givenchy Couture Experience: The Sketches

A couple of months ago, I received an email from Givenchy Mexico inviting me to participate in an incredible project: The Givenchy Couture Experience. Students from different Universities of Mexico City interested in the contest had to develop a couture piece inspired in the Le Rouge by Givenchy lipstick; To enter the contest they were commanded to make a sketch of the dress... only ten students will be selected as finalists. The finalists must develop the piece and present it on a runway show, then a jury will determine the first, second and third place. The first place was a -six month- internship with the talented mexican designer Gianfranco Reni, the second and third place will receive a diploma and products from the brand.

So, now you are probably asking yourselves why I was called for? Well, Givenchy invited me as part of the jury... Imagine my face! I felt extremely happy, excited and honored about the invitation, and even more when I was told who would be the other members...

For this post I wanted to show you the sketches of the ten finalists... they deserve it so: Congratulations to Cokáa Borrel, Paola Lee, Graciela Rubio, Laura Aguilera, Mariana Ambriz, Mónica Bellazetin, Francisco Méndez, Paulina Ruiz, Angel Grave y Paola Cámara, you all did a great job!

With love,

Gina

Gina
