Visual Diary: DKNY Fall 2014
Diversity is the main theme of the DKNY show, although the collection itself was very eclectic the model 'casting' was also, famous DJs, rappers and ' total strangers' who were recruited on the streets of New York for their cool appearance among top models walked the runway. Before the show a video featuring some characters ( that later we would see on the runway) was shown, this characters talked about their experience with New York, the city, their hopes and their love towards this place, how they live it and how the city reflects with their work and personality. I remain passionate about NY, so I was thrilled by the subject, DKNY is a brand that through it's collections and fragrances seeks to highlight the passion that emanates from the city. Do not forget the latest fragrances launched by the brand where 'love' and freshness for the big apple are present in the visual campaign and aroma (btw I’ve been using DKNY Skin, and I've really liked it being a perfume that hydrates my skin). Returning to the theme of the collection I can say it was very urban, and as I said earlier eclectic with various edges: winter jackets, suits and accessories in leather, and fur stoles among my favorite pieces, hats, sneakers, with oversized sweatshirts and jackets to give the distinctive touch. My favorite look ? A sleeveless leather dress with matching NY cap, paired with leather boots and socks, indeed it’s the picture I used to open this post. From the total sportswear to animal print, oversized -blue- houndstooth, tartan, sequins, and fur -pale pink- coat ( a favorite too) and electric pink accents with lace, as I said, an interesting fusion to praise all those who love New York and make it such an special place.
