The Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2012 women’s collection is inspired by the preppy sporting life reconsidered with city sophistication; the whole collection has an equestrian mood mixed with city chic.
The show was last Sunday, at an amazing location in Park Avenue resembling a park in autumn. A listers, celebrities and fashion leaders were at the show. For the first time in my life I saw Anna Wintour. I was speechless... she has a very strong presence. For a moment I even thought that if she saw me I would become an ice cube or a rock. The gorgeous Uma Thurman also attended the show. The palette used was pretty similar to the one in the men’s collection: camel, burgundy, navy and olive. Versatility with classic pieces is the key, using A-line mod shapes in rich colors and fabrics. The coat was the most popular item, (as you know I’m a -coat kind of girl- so I loved that), plus the colorful boots and the awesome gloves. We saw some long silk dresses which I really enjoyed. I also noticed also a high military influence with youthful silhouettes and hunting suits.
Sorry for the not so great side pictures...(it was the best shot from my seat), but I still wanted to show you some of the textures and colors I enjoyed.

La colección de Tommy Hilfiger Otoño 2012 para mujer está inspirada en un estilo de vida deportivo y preppy, con toques de ciudad. Todas las piezas tenían un toque ecuestre mezclado con un mood citadino chic.
El desfile fue el domingo por la noche en una locación increíble en Park Avenue, el escenario era un parque con toques otoñales. Celebridades, famosos y reconocidos líderes del mundo de la moda se dieron cita para admirar la colección. Por primera vez en mi vida, pude ver de cerca a Anna Wintour, me quedé muda....tiene una presencia sumamente fuerte; por unos momentos pensé que si me veía me iba a convertir en cubo de hielo o en piedra. La guapísima Uma Thurman también asistió al evento.
La paleta de color utilizada en la colección de mujer, es muy similar a la que vimos en la colección de hombre: beige, borgoña, azul marino y verde olivo. Se utilizaron piezas básicas con toques versátiles, en cortes tipo A, elegantes telas y ricos colores. El saco fue una de las piezas más vistas; a mi me encantan los sacos, así que fui muy feliz de saber que para la próxima temporada contaré con opciones. Las coloridas botas los guantes están espectaculares. Una sorpresa agradable fueron los vestidos largos de seda. La influencia militar siempre presente en siluetas juveniles y trajes estilo cazador.
Les pido una disculpa porque las fotos del desfile son todas de ladito (es la vista que tenía desde mi asiento), la intención es mostrarles las texturas y colores que pude ver.
