Loewe it’s an Spanish luxury brand, known for it’s expertise in working with leather: the pieces denote the excellent quality of the materials and the fine work on the details. During my days in Paris, I visited Loewe’s showroom to learn all about the spring/summer collection, called: SKIN. The name is meant to highlight the expertise the brand has in leather crafting and the excellent quality of the skins they use; Loewe has been master of this subject for almost 170 years (and I swear when you touch any piece, you realize how soft and fine the material is).
The palette of the collection is neutral: Beige, Nude, White and Black . However exotic skins also play an important role within the motives and purposes of the collection, reptile print served as inspiration for jewelry and silk scarves resemble the skin of a crocodile.
For this season, Loewe takes an architectural approach to bag design, Loewe has used clever and innovative pattern-cutting to create structures that fold flat but that also resemble 2-D and 3-D figures that require skin to be strong yet soft, supple and malleable; great for those who travel a lot!
Two new bags join the Loewe family for this season: Origami Cubo and Origami Pillow, you can spot them at some of the pictures I took during my visit. Both are beautiful and smooth, they also come with a detachable shoulder strap that makes them practical and beautiful, extremely comfortable, functional and versatile. I fell in love with the mini Origami cubo bag!

Loewe es una marca reconocida por su maestría en el manejo de la piel: sus piezas se destacan por la excelente calidad de los materiales así como la finura de sus acabados. Durante mis días en Paris, estuve de visita en el showroom de esta marca -de lujo- Española para conocer de cerca su colección Primavera/Verano 2014, llamada SKIN, dicho nombre tiene el propósito de destacar la maestría y expertise en el manejo de la piel, así como la excelente calidad de la misma (y es que les juro que la piel tiene otro nivel, al tocarla te das cuenta de lo suave y fina que es).
La paleta de la colección es neutra: Beige, Nude, Blanco y Negro. Sin embargo las pieles exóticas también juegan un importante papel dentro de la intención y motivos de dicha colección, ya que no solo se encuentran en los bolsos, el estampado de reptil sirvió como inspiración para la joyería y las mascadas de seda asemejan la piel de un cocodrilo.
En esta ocasión Loewe decide dar un giro arquitectónico a la colección con el diseño de sus bolsos, que asemejan figuras en segunda y tercera dimensión por medio de tecnología de punta con un patronaje inteligente y vanguardista para lograr un trabajo impecable en estructuras que a su vez se vuelven planas ¡una maravilla para aquellos que viajamos mucho! La piel debe tener una consistencia y flexibilidad excelente para lograr dichas formas sin perder manejabilidad y estructura.
Dos nuevos bolsos se unen a la familia: Origami Cubo y Origami Pillow; ambos los encuentran en las fotos que tomé durante mi visita. Son espaciosos y una maravilla al tacto, además vienen con correa desmontable lo que los hace además de prácticos y hermosos, sumamente cómodos y funcionales ¡Me enamoré de los Origami Cubo -mini- están lo máximo!
