Visual Diary: Cushine Et Ochs FW14
‘The western romanticism combined with the city-slicking edge’ was the main idea around the autumn-winter collection of Cushnie et Ochs; Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs sought to represent a sensual -western- woman, without going way to literal on the subject, the clothes were accompanied by a cowboy hats and motifs. The designers played with textures such as velvet, lace, silk and chiffon, leather, neoprene and tulle. The icing on the cake was to spot Karolina Kurkova opening the runway... actually I saw her backstage ( I included some pics of her on my visual diary).
Antonio Corral, artistic director for Moroccanoil (and a a personal favorite) was behind the hair look for the catwalk, his intention was to highlight the natural beauty of hair, emphasizing the rich smoothness of healthy hair, healthy and shiny... the natural play of light and shadow. The final result is an elegant and smooth hair, sophisticated -in fact- the idea was to give an option so women can try this as a daily hairstyle, it’s easy to recreate as long as you take care of your hair in a daily basis, like using the right shampoo and complement the routine with the proper hair treatments to maintain hydration... ‘Moroccanoil Treatment was the key to success for this look, it provides the necessary shine and creates the core effect of the style’ Antonio added backstage, due to it’s components and nutrients that treatment adds strength to the hair. Antonio recomended to use a 'root booster ' to help fortify the roots and add volume and body to the hair.

El romanticismo del oeste con un toque urbano y sofisticado, es lo que inspira la colección otoño-invierno de Cushnie et Ochs... Carly Cushnie y Michelle Ochs buscaron representar a la mujer sensual con motivos del oeste, sin llegar a una descripción literal del tema, y es que sus prendas iban acompañadas por sombreros estilo vaquero pero al mismo tiempo incorporaron texturas femeninas como el terciopelo, el encaje, la seda y el chifón, jugaron con la riqueza de las texturas, la piel, el neopreno, el tul, por mencionar algunos. La gran sorpresa de la pasarela fue encontrar a Karolina Kurkova abriendo la presentación... de hecho la vi primero en backstage (la encuentran en algunas fotos en mi diario visual) y me pareció un gran acierto.
Antonio Corral, director artístico para Moroccanoil (otro consentido del blog) fue el encargado de diseñar el peinado para la pasarela, su intención era resaltar la belleza natural del cabello, en donde se mostrara un cabello sano y lozano... la luz que irradia, el juego de las luces y la sombras de la pasarela. El resultado es un peinado elegante, liso y delicado... sofisticado. De hecho, la idea también es provocar que las mujeres intenten a diario este peinado que es fácil de recrear siempre y cuando se tengan los cuidados necesarios como lo es usar el shampoo adecuado y los tratamientos correspondientes para mantener la hidratación... el Tratamiento de Moroccanoil fue la clave para el éxito en este look, porque aporta el brillo necesario brindándole los nutrientes necesarios para fortalecer el cabello. Otra recomendación de Antonio es utilizar un ‘root booster’ que ayude a fortificar la raíz, que aporte volumen y cuerpo.
